Winged Lion - a memorial to Czech participants of the Battle of Britain

A memorial to commemorate the 2,500 Czech R.A.F. members has been unveiled in the center of Prague. The Winged Lion, funded by the expats community in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, has seen a ceremony with R.A.F. veterans, Nicholas Soames, British MP and a grandson of Winston Churchill, among others, finished by a low pass by a Spitfire, one of the most significant planes of the Battle of Britain.
